Hello,
My name is Tina McCulloch and I am the owner, CEO, Chief Doll Maker, Bookeeper, etc.  of "Tina's Tots".  We have been in business since 2002, offering high quality dolls from Apple Valley Doll Works sculpts.  We originally began as an alternative to the high priced My Twin dolls, offering our dolls as look a like dolls for children.  Over the years our interests and needs have changed as well as the desires of the doll collecting community.  With the addition of Reborn dolls to the doll world, we  decided to focus our doll making on the desires of the adult collector, rather than on dolls for children.   As we further defined our focus in the past couple of years, we are limiting our doll creations to those of larger sized dolls, 30 inches and up.  We no longer do look a like dolls but will work with our customers to customize, as much as possible, the large size dolls that we do make.

My dolls appeal to people for different reasons.  Some just appreciate the sheer beauty of a well crafted doll, others want a doll that resembles a specific child.

What makes my dolls different?  Every doll that leaves  here is made as if it were my own.  I add little details that you won't find with other "assembled" dolls, such as hand painting little fingernails and piggies and opening their noses so they can "breathe."    We strive for realism in our dolls which is another reason they may not be appropriate for children.  We do not want your child to be scared of her doll when you have just spent $200.00 or so having a special doll created for her.  It has happened in the past so I do discourage these for children under the age of 6 or 7.  They are child safe but they are not play dolls, I want to repeat, THEY ARE NOT PLAY DOLLS.  They must be treated with the upmost of care and most children under the age of 7 just do not have that capacity.  With that said, I still leave it up to a parent to decide if your child has the maturity to care for a special doll.  Remember, ink marks are largely permanent.  Hair I can replace but markers and ink pens are generally the death of most good dolls.

I believe dolls  can bring healing to a hurting heart or just sheer pleasure in the joy of owning something exquisite.  Let us make your doll dreams come true!

Peace to you,
Tina McCulloch

Tina's Tots

My cheerleader, seamstress, and  all around buddy, my mother and Hermione.  (She made all of Hermione's clothing!) iN LOVING MEMORY OF LENORA VOWELL, WHO PASSED FROM THIS LIFE ON JANUARY 30, 2012.
Me and the "Tots"
We are at this time, no longer offering the small dolls as custom designs through our web site.  We do make the 30 to 42 inch as custom orders.

My son, "tater Tot"!  (Don't tell him I said that Okay!)  Kevan at about age 14.  I love this picture, kind of a pensive moment in a teenagers life when you see a glimpse of their soul.  The cat is Smokey, one of the cats that Kevan brought home, tamed and became a member of our family.  We have four cats, thanks to our son the cat rescuer!
"We don't stop playing with dolls because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing with dolls!"
The reason I lived . . . gone too soon, in memory of our sweet son Kevan who died in a car accident on May 30, 2009.
My Kevan who now rocks in Heaven's band . . .
No one is immune from a picture with the tots!  My husband whom I convinced to dress up for this doll's photo shoot!
